Primitive Yucca Cordage

Ever wondered how you make rope if you have nothing but what nature provides? Here is one way to do it using the narrow leaf yucca plant.  Yucca cordage is very strong and one of the best plants to make rope out of in Colorado.  its much easier to harvest than Pine roots and is abundant.  The biggest drawback of Yucca Cordage is that Yucca stops grown around 7500 in elevation, meaning that it will be difficult if not impossible to find in the high country.

Yucca does require a little bit pf processing time but it can be found all year long and you dont have to dig to get to it.
