In this video you will see students working on a Super Shelter. The Super Shelter is an excellent cold and wet weather survival shelter because the plastic keeps wind and water from getting through.  You also use plastic to cover all sides, including the entrance to keep wind and other weather out from coming through the front.  A fire built outside of the shelter will allow heat from the fire to radiate through the plastic and heat the interior.  If you have plastic, this is one of your best options to build a shelter, in the wilderness, in extreme cold weather, but because of the plastic it is not a completely primitive shelter.
