Among her many life goals, Sara is determined to bring education and kids back into the wild.

“As an educator, it destroyed me little by little to have to stay indoors almost all day. I was constantly looking for opportunities to take my classes outside, breathe in some fresh air, and take a break from fluorescent lights and technology screens. The happiest teaching days of my career were spent in the middle of the White Mountains in New Hampshire with a group of 8th graders...most of whom had never peed outside let alone hiked and camped for 4 days straight. I watched those kids transform in such a short time. Get them away from everything that tells them they’re not good enough, help them conquer the wilderness, and you have a healed generation.”
