Fire Starting and Cooking Tips
Always have tinder with you to start a fire in every environment and climate. Some natural tinder options are cedar bark shavings, fatwood, punk woods, birch bark, dry grass, dead pine needles, dead juniper bush needles, pine tree pitch, cattail down or seedlings from other plants.
Man made tinder can be cotton balls with Vaseline, dryer lint, Wetfire Tinder, paraffin wax and cardboard and various other man made materials that you can make at home or buy at most outdoor sporting good stores.
